The story
She ruled an empire, spoke nine languages, and commanded armies — but history only remembers how she looked, who she loved, and how she died. Two thousand years later, not much has changed.
This piece is about the weight every woman knows: being seen and unseen at once, holding it all together while making it look effortless.
What makes her one of a kind:
Built from a salvaged kitchen cabinet door. There's something right about a woman made from something domestic, overlooked, and eventually discarded. Possibly the most fitting material Cleopatra has ever been sculpted from.
Sculpted freehand — no mold, no template, no cast. Most face wall sculptures on the market are poured from a reusable mold. This one was built up by hand in upcycled styrofoam, plaster, and air-dry clay. She literally cannot be reproduced.
The depth is the point. Calm in morning light, defiant in the evening. That shift is intentional. Unlike printed or flat abstract face wall art, a sculpted surface changes character as the light moves across the room.
Two weeks of build time, the most labor-intensive piece in the collection. The plaster layers dry on their own schedule and can't be rushed.
